Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Gradually add the flour, mixing just until no dry spots remain.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
